Charith Asalanka was officially signed with the Mumbai Indians for IPL 2025 as a replacement signing for South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch, who left due to international commitments. Asalanka was signed for Rs. 75 lakhs, and he could play from the playoffs if the Mumbai Indians qualify. He can bring firepower as well as stability to MI’s middle-order.
He joined the Mumbai Indians for IPL 2025 in tremendous form, with three centuries and five fifties, as well as 16 wickets, across all formats in the past ten matches before he joined MI.
