The Gujarat Titans (GT) were founded in 2021 when the IPL was expanded to include two new teams. The team is owned by CVC Capital Partners. The deciding committee picked Hardik Pandya as their captain and Ashish Nehra as their coach. The team decided to pick the Narendra Modi Stadium as their home ground.
